Nadine Stephen
Chief Executive Officer

Nadine has extensive experience working in disability, aged care and the community sector. She has been involved in direct service provision for people with disability as well as working in both federal and ACT government on broader policy and program reform agendas.

 

Ralph Fortmann
Director Human Resources

Ralph is the Director of Human Resources at Koomarri and has been responsible for Human Resources, WHS and Quality Assurance since 2012.  Ralph started his career in people development and human resources in the financial services industry more than 20 years ago and has also consulted on HR and skills development matters in various different commercial spaces over the years. 

 

Tanya Brunt
Executive Director Operations

Tanya’s experience comprises of management and leadership, governance and all the attributes and skills required to lead and support an organisation successfully. Tanya has worked in various industries and sectors – Government, HR/Recruitment and most recently in Primary Healthcare, heading a federally funded Indigenous organisation. 

Tanya is passionate about people and thrives on empowering, uplifting and supporting people to be the best they want to be, in their learning journey.

 

Jawad Hayder
Executive Director, Corporate Services and CFO

Jawad is a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ) with 15 years of accounting and finance experience in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. He has a track record of leading the finance function in multiple complex environments, both nationally and internationally. Complementing his accounting and finance credentials is Jawad’s inclusive and consultative leadership and management approach. He is committed to the mentoring and development of people to benefit their personal growth and productivity. 

 

Jo Huxley
Manager Marketing and Communications

Jo has been working in marketing and communications roles for more than 20 years in the not-for-profit sector. She has worked in a number of professional associations and peak bodies, most recently in the mental health sector. Jo is a passionate advocate for people with a disability and ensuring everyone in our community is treated with dignity and respect.

 

Susan Nicol
Manager Residential Services

Susan has a passion for working with and for people with a disability, having done so from the age of 17. Susan has held roles in both the government and not for profit sectors during her career and has high expectations regarding quality service delivery. Susan's favourite saying is "counting up to twenty may be difficult for some, but if you learn to count to twenty you can get to twenty one".

 

Dennis Oreskovic
Manager Commercial Business

Dennis has worked for Koomarri Employment Services / Commercial Business for over 15 years. Dennis began his career at the grassroots and has worked his way to management. He has an excellent understanding of how the businesses operate to provide the best outcome for the people we support.

 

Kelly Swan
Manager Employment Services and Skills Development

Kelly has worked in the disability sector in some form or another for 25 years. She actually started her career in Koomarri over 20 years ago and is humbled to be back, in a leadership role, and to see how far the organisation has come. Kelly has worked at the Commonwealth and State levels in government and in oversight agencies in the disability space in both NSW and the ACT for the past 16 years. She has held a range of management, policy, service delivery, project management, advisory and investigative roles, including in relation to the implementation of the NDIS in the ACT. Kelly is keenly interested in good governance, evidence-based service delivery, and the protection and promotion of the human rights of people with a disability.
